Big Ol' Super-Giant Yarn Sale!

Yep, you heard me right! Anacapa Fine Yarns recently acquired a lot of yarn from a shop that closed down, and we are selling it all at low-low prices, some of it up to 75% off retail! Hopefully there is something for everyone, there's sock yarn, lots of fun novelty yarn, and sweater quantities of other yarns, too!

Our Sale will take place on Saturday and Sunday, November 27th and 28th, during our normal store hours (Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm). Shop until you drop on Black Friday, then get back on your feet and shop for yarn until you drop again at our sale!

You won't wanna miss this, I've had a sneak peek at the yarn we'll have on sale, and there's some good stuff in there!

Yarn Highlight: Mirasol Yarns

We recently got a big shipment of 3 beautiful yarns from Mirasol, a company whose goal is to improve the future of disadvantaged children in Peru through the selling of some great yarns! We have Nuna, Miski, and Ushya.

Nuna:
From Anacapa Knits

Nuna is a sport weight wool, bamboo, and silk blend that is soft, has great sheen, and comes in some awesome colors! It would make a great shawl or scarf!

Miski:

Miski is 100% Baby Llama, and soooooo soft! I've used this yarn before, and I love it! I think it would be great for a nice warm scarf or cabled hat.

Ushya:

Ushya is Merino wool and a tiny bit of Nylon, and it's big and soft and squishy! Anything you make with this would knit up fast and fun, like a fun cowl or slouchy hat.

Free Pattern: The Spumoni Scarf

It's time for another free pattern! The Spumoni Scarf is a great pattern for a first lace project, but I think that even seasoned lace knitters will enjoy making it, too. There is only one simple row that is repeated until your scarf is your desired length!

You can download the pattern as a PDF here:

Materials: 2 skeins of Manos Silk Blend, color #3303 Spumoni
US #10/6.0mm Needles

Finished Size: 78” long by 11” wide.

Gauge: Not important

Abbreviations:
K= Knit
YO= Yarn Over
K2TOG= Knit 2 together

Pattern: LOOSELY Cast on 36 stitches.
Row 1: K1, *YO, K2TOG, Repeat from * to last stitch, K1.
Repeat row 1 until almost out of yarn (or until scarf reaches desired length), bind off loosely.

Finishing: Block to finished measurements. I soaked the scarf in warm water, removed the excess water by squeezing it in a towel, and blocked it with Blocking Wires and T-Pins. Weave in Ends.
