What to do with "Link"

This past weekend was our Anacapa Eweniversity, and those of you who received our Eweniversity Kit were treated to a skein of "Link" from Berroco. I had a few people ask me what to make with this MEGA yarn, so here are a few Ideas for you!

First off - there are some cute patterns from Berroco for this yarn. Click here and see them all! A few of my favorites are Chu-Rippu, Kathie's Cowl, and Katsura.

Another fun thing you can do it deconstruct the yarn! Terry thought of this, and I think it's a great idea! The yarn itself is a knitted tube, so if you take a close look at one of the ends, it will unravel if you tug on the end:

They yarn will continue to unravel into a single ply yarn:

I ran it through our ball winder as I unravelled it and ended up with a GIANT cake of a pretty, single ply, gradient yarn:

You will end up with a yarn that is around a Worsted weight, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 (!) yards.

I knitted this swatch on size 8 needles and got 20 stitches over 4 inches. Now you can make yourself a pretty and soft shawl, or matching hat and scarf, or maybe a kid's sweater? There are a ton of options, so have fun with it!
